Tid for Spill - National Videogame strategy 2024-2026
I was part of the cross-agency working group that wrote Tid for spill (Time for Games) – the Norwegian government's videogame strategy 2024–2026 on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Equality. The strategy aims to elevate the status of video games as an art and cultural expression in Norway. The four main areas we worked on are:
- Video games as art and cultural expression
- Video games as a leisure activity
- Video games as esports
- Video games as a tool for learning
In the follow-up to the strategy, I have been part of the preliminary project for establishing NFI Spill's role as a national resource and competence center for video game culture in Norway.

"Videogames are fantastic art and cultural expressions with enormous society-building power."
— Minister of Culture and Equality Lubna Jaffery

Kulturtanken's Gamelab
In 2018, I established Kulturtanken's Spillab (Game Lab), where I worked until 2025 on developing the agency's initiatives on video games as art and cultural expression for children and young people.
The Game Lab was intended to open the doors for video games as art and cultural experiences. The goal of the lab was to stimulate critical and conscious thinking about video games as art and cultural expression, build networks, and establish connections between the DKS (Cultural Schoolbag), the games industry, and the education sector.
"Conditions must be created for, and encouragement given to, conversations and discussions about quality, artistic value, relevance, and timeliness in video games."
